Nicknames
It's a concept that has been around since the dawn of Pokemon, and it continues to this very day in Pokemon GO: Pokemon nicknames. Now, yes, they may not mean much to some, but it's always fun to personally handpick a name for your Pokemon, like any pet, as your embark on your journey with them.
Unlike the regular Pokemon Games for nintendo Handheld Systems, a trainer in Pokemon GO doesn't have the chance to nickname their newly caught Pokemon immediately following its capture. Instead, a player can take time to come up with the perfect name for their PokePal and later input it in the name section found within the Pokemon's Profile when viewing their current Pokemon inventory.
