Gym Defenders
A gym defender is a Pokemon in Pokemon GO that is especially good at defending and holding down a claimed pokemon gym for a given Trainer and Team. Usually, in order to be considered a good Gym Defender, a Pokemon needs to have high statistics in both Defense and Stamina. Stamina is clearly more crucial and imperative between the two stats, as it allows a Gym Defender to last longer in battle, further allowing it to keep possession of the Gym.
